Clay Has Memory
For Vasillaq Kolevica, clay holds memory. It retains the emotions of the one who touched it, their breath, and their mark.
In the act of creation, Vasi sees himself as a bridge between the earth and memory, where the Aegean Sea mingles with the clay of Korça, reconnecting him to his origins, family voices, and the spiritual roots that shaped him.
In every work, he seeks to recreate a connection between past and present, between humanity and nature.
